Stamp Out Hunger food drive kicks off in Central Arkansas

The push to stamp out hunger is officially underway in Central Arkansas.

The National Association of Letter Carriers, in collaboration with the U.S. Postal Service and the Arkansas Foodbank, hosted a press conference Thursday morning at the downtown Little Rock Post Office.

It marked the beginning of the 33rd annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the nation’s largest single-day food collection.

Leaders from Little Rock and North Little Rock, along with postmasters and volunteers, encouraged residents to participate by leaving non-perishable food items next to their mailboxes this Saturday, May 10. All donations collected in Pulaski County will be directed to the Arkansas Foodbank, which will distribute the items to local families in need.

You still have time to participate—just set out a bag of non-perishable items by your mailbox before mail delivery on Saturday.
