Savvy Games Group has launched its Academy website to empower game developers and creative entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia.

The Academy includes a series of Savvy-funded initiatives to build a “world-class” games and esports ecosystem in the Kingdom.

This includes Next-Gen, a school-based workshop for people aged 10-17; Incubator, a 3-month online accelerator for game startups in partnership with HP; and Kickstarter, paid internships to launch careers.

Moreover, Savvy said it will soon launch Level-Up, the fourth initiative which is a university program designed to prepare students for the future of video games.

Registration for the Academy is now open on the official website.

Fully funded

The Savvy Next-Gen Program is delivered by schools and training centers across Saudi Arabia. Similarly, the Incubator Program is conducted in partnership with Xsolla and HP.

Savvy said it believes talent is equally distributed, but opportunities are not, so it will fully fund the program along with its partners.

Earlier this month, Savvy opened its new headquarters in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), marking its first permanent home and a key step in supporting Saudi Arabia’s gaming and esports ecosystem.

Subsidiaries Steer Studios and Scopely’s Mirai have also relocated to the new office for better support.
