
MADISON COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) – Madison County Police arrested a man on Friday after he was allegedly caught driving while intoxicated with three children in the backseat of his car.
Brian Daughton, 30, was arrested following a traffic stop at a gas station in Madison County after an officer witnessed him driving recklessly while traveling 15 miles over the speed limit on East Second Street near Madison County City Hall.
According to court documents, Daughton showed several signs of intoxication during the traffic stop. After performing standard field sobriety tests, the officer had Daughton take a breath test where he submitted a blood alcohol content of .226.
The officer says during the investigation three young children were found to be in the vehicle while being operated by Daughton. The officer also found that Daughton has four previous DUI convictions, all of them being within the past 15 years.
Daughton was arrested and charged with a DUI with a .15 or higher BAC with three prior convictions. His bond is set at 10% of $100,000 and his next hearing is scheduled for May 13.
