This remaster, with a suggested retail price of $39.99, will be available on various platforms when released on August 26, including Xbox Series X/S, PC via Xbox PC and Steam, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. For Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscribers, it’ll be there day one. As previously rumored, it’s also coming to PlayStation 5.
If you had purchased Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which was released 10 years ago, before Microsoft’s announcement was dropped, it will be upgraded to Gears of War: Reloaded without a charge.
Besides this remaster, the franchise will receive a main installment, Gears of War: E-Day, in 2026 when the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary. The highly anticipated new game is under development by The Coalition, with People Can Fly involved as a co-developer.
