LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Laredo College is giving kids a fun way to learn about health careers with a summer camp at the South Campus.
The Health Science Summer Camp is for children ages 9 to 11 and will run June 16-20 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Students will get hands-on experience, hear from guest speakers, and use real medical tools during the camp.
Daniela Nava Cortez, a student at Laredo College, is helping with the camp as part of her school project. She says the goal is to teach kids about different health jobs while letting them have fun.
“We want to give them a chance to learn about nursing, physical therapy, radiology, and more,” Cortez said. “It’s a mix of fun and learning.”
