Brand new GTA VI trailer released days after game’s release was delayed

Just days after disappointing video gamers across the globe, Rockstar Games gave fans a little taste of what they’re waiting for when Grand Theft Auto VI releases next year. On Tuesday, the video game publisher dropped the second trailer for the highly anticipated game, marking the first new footage released since December 2023.

While the trailer doesn’t show any footage of the game being played, it does feature cutscenes from the game’s story.

Last week, Rockstar announced it was delaying the release of the game until May 26, 2026. The news was met with disappointment from fans of the series as the game was originally promised for a Fall 2025 release.

It’s been nearly a dozen years since Grand Theft Auto 5 was first released. Anticipation for the upcoming sequel has been building since the game was announced in late 2023.

GTA V is the second best-selling video game of all time and is considered one of the best games ever. It has sold over 200 million copies and made an estimated $8 billion since its initial release in 2013.
