
EDENTON, N.C. (WITN) – A man has been arrested following a shooting at a Food Lion in Edenton.
Police say 25-year-old Raymark Bembury faces multiple gun-related charges.
Sunday, just before 7 p.m., police went to a shooting that happened at the Food Lion off Virginia Road.
According to officers, two people were taken to ECU Health Chowan Hospital.
Police say the shooting is possibly gang-related. Warrants identified the victims as Jaquari Wilson and David Walton III.
Bembury was charged with the following:
- Felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflicting serious injury
- Felony assault with deadly weapon intent to kill
- Felony possession of a firearm by a felon
- Two counts of felony discharge of a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear.
- Misdemeanor discharge of a firearm in city limits
- Misdemeanor carry concealed gun
- Misdemeanor going armed to terror of the public
The Edenton man was jailed on a $5-million bond.
