Seneca Healthcare District reports that staff were proud to offer free health exams at this year’s annual Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Round-Up event held at Chester Elementary School on April 24. This community event welcomes new families and their future students into the school community.
SHD featured primary care provider Stefanie White, who provided free basic physicals, and registered dietitian Traci Haynes, who addressed parents’ questions regarding anemia and children’s diets.

The Kindergarten Round-Up event is coordinated by the Plumas County Office of Education each year. “Events like the TK and Kindergarten Round-Up are essential in creating a welcoming environment where families feel supported from the very beginning,” said Chelssa Outland, SHD director of public relations. “We’re incredibly grateful to be a part of this event and have the opportunity to give back to our community.”
The event also featured information booths and hands-on activities for children.
