
The Arkansas Department of Health regulates the sale of food at establishments that include restaurants, bars, day cares, schools, grocery stores, convenience stores, bed and breakfast facilities, hotels/motels, mobile units and concession stands. Inspections are made unannounced by environmental health specialists.

MCDONALD’S, 8012 Sheridan Road, White Hall. Date of follow-up inspection April 24. Observed an accumulation of food debris on the floors under the cooking equipment. Clean the physical facilities as often as necessary to keep them clean.
MCDONALD’S, 8012 Sheridan Road, White Hall. Date of inspection April 21. Sausage/egg/pepper mix (43 degrees F) and egg (42 degrees F) in the reach in refrigerator near tea maker station is out of safe temperature range. Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) Foods shall be kept cold at a temperature of 41.0°F or below, as measured by an internal probe thermometer, to limit bacterial growth. Observed several counter tops and shelving throughout the kitchen with food and/or drink spillage on them. Nonfood contact surfaces shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. Observed an accumulation of food debris on the floors under the cooking equipment. Clean the physical facilities as often as necessary to keep them clean.
ELIOR NORTH AMERICA @ JAMES MATTHEW ELEMENTARY, 4501 Dollarway Road. Date of inspection April 24. Observed boxes stored directly on the floor. Food must be stored six inches above the floor to be in compliance with established regulations. Observed zero footcandles in kitchen area. At least 540 lux (foot candles) at a surface where a food employee is working with food working with utensils or equipment.

Jalapenos (45 degrees F) and carrots (46 degrees F) in the toppings bar and pineapple slices (42 degrees F) in the bar cooler are out of safe temperature range. Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) Foods shall be kept cold at a temperature of 41.0°F or below, as measured by an internal probe thermometer, to limit bacterial growth. Observed used wiping cloths laying on counter top. Wiping cloths shall be used as intended and in compliance with Regulations pertaining to Retail Food establishment. Observation: Observed drink area with an accumulation of food residue. Corrective Action: Nonfood contact surfaces shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. Cleaned during time of inspection. Observation: Observed no vent over stove top. Adequacy vent needed over stove top.
