SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – This Sunday, May the 4th, otherwise known as “Star Wars Day,” SiouxperCon will be teaming up with Sioux Falls Food Tours for the first-ever Star Wars Pub Crawl Adventure.
“With SiouxperCon, we are a non-profit here locally, and our main event is in September. We do a convention to benefit Make-A-Wish, REACY Literacy, and JY6. It’s turned into a really staple event for the community and for our local nonprofits, so we wanted to kind of expand our programming throughout the year, and with May the Fourth falling on a weekend, we thought it was the perfect opportunity,” said Doria Esche, SiouxperCon Board Member.
“It’s a first-ever for us at Sioux Falls Food Tours, we are working with five wonderful bars throughout downtown Sioux Falls and they were excited to make some Star Wars-themed drinks for us so your ticket will get you a drink at each of those five locations so we’re really looking forward to this exciting event,” said Dana Wohlwend, Owner/Tour Operator of Sioux Falls Food Tours.
The Star Wars Pub Crawl Adventure will be happening from 1 to 4 Sunday afternoon, tickets are available here.
The pub crawl wraps up at Blarney Stone Pub with appetizers, trivia, and a costume contest.
“Costumes are welcome, that will make it all the more fun for the festivities but if you’re not in costume you can still come,” said Wohlwend.
“You don’t have to dress up, but I mean it’s a lot more fun if you do so don your favorite Ewok ears, dress up in your favorite gear, and go full Chewbacca, all are welcome,” said Esche.
