Intermittent rain couldn’t keep nearly 9,000 people from attending last Saturday’s 23rd annual Chino Corn Feed Car Show and Cruise in downtown Chino. A total of 991 vehicles registered for the event, said Walt Pocock, president of the Chino Kiwanis Club and main organizer of the show. Volunteers began parking car show entries at 5 a.m. Classic cars were lined up along both sides of Central Avenue from Chino Avenue to Riverside Drive. Others were set up on the Chino Civic Center lawn. There were 79 vendor booths. Proceeds from the car show will help the Chino Kiwanis Club provide support to youth and senior programs in Chino.
