(Gray News) – A popular burger chain says it will be showing its appreciation for teachers next week by offering them a free entree.

The Texas-based chain said it’s all a part of National Teacher Appreciation Week.

“Whataburger is serving up a Whatasized ‘thank you’ to the real MVPs of our communities — our amazing teachers,” a spokesperson for the restaurant said.

Teachers will be required to show valid school identification when ordering. The offer is only available for dine-in, drive-thru and takeout orders — not online.

The fast food chain also announced that 75 educators will receive $1,000 each in classroom grants across 16 states with Whataburger locations in celebration of its 75th anniversary.

Whataburger management said the team has proudly donated over $160,000 in classroom grants since 2022.
