  • Redding offers various summer day camps catering to diverse interests like arts, sports, and academics.
  • Camp locations include Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, Old City Hall, Redding City Ballet, and the Redding Riverfront Playhouse.
  • Costs vary depending on the program, with some offering discounts for siblings or free options available.

With the school year’s end a month away, Redding summer day camps for children and youths are signing up campers.

Day camps offer kids with varied interests a chance to develop their skills and try new things without living away from home. Participants go to a Redding venue for a couple of hours or a full working day, then return home in the evening.

Day camps provide structure for kids used to school schedules, camp organizers said, and they gives kids the opportunity to make new friends who live in the North State and who share their interests.

Here are camps that have openings as of early May, each with themes that cater to children’s interests.
