ROXBOROUGH, PA — Roxborough’s two much-loved traditions, the 23rd Annual Roxborough Spring Fest and the 23rd Annual Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show, are joining forces for the first time to create a supersized day of fun on Ridge Avenue. On Saturday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the festival will expand from Green Lane to Hermitage Street to host live music, local art, award-winning food, and interactive entertainment. Stretching from Hermitage Street to Fountain Street, the car show will shine with over 70 stunning classic and custom cars.
“By uniting Spring Fest and Rockin’ the Ridge, we’re creating a vibrant, dynamic experience that truly reflects the heart of Roxborough,” said Jax Cusack, Executive Director of Roxborough Development Corporation. “This is more than just a weekend event—it’s a celebration of our corridor, our neighbors, and the creative, connected community we’re building here every day.”
Visitors will find something for all ages, starting with three live music stages featuring performances by The Providers, Mitchell Street Philbillies, and the West Philadelphia Orchestra, whose energetic parade will kick things off at 11 a.m. The RoxYunk Porch Fest stage will spotlight local talent like Schist Creek Stompers and Echo Whiskey. Community groups, including Pretzel Theater and Action Karate, will round out the entertainment.
Artisans and makers will showcase interactive demonstrations, such as pottery sessions by Edna Rambo and customizable flower crowns by Serene & Green. The Roxborough Pocket Park will transform into a Kid’s Zone, offering family-friendly activities with special appearances by Flyleaf the Book Fairy.
The Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show, held in front of Gorgas Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature live DJ entertainment, a 50/50 raffle, and 114 prizes for standout vehicles. “It’s more than a car show–it’s a Roxborough tradition,” said Chris Lounsbery, President of the Ridge Runners Car Club.
Festivalgoers can indulge in culinary delights from award-winning food trucks like Humpty’s Dumplings and Mike’s BBQ. Local eateries such as Roma Pizza and Roxy Hall will serve fresh, flavorful options. Beverages from Top Dog Canned Cocktails and New Ridge Brewing Company will keep tastes refreshed throughout the day.
The event also emphasizes community, with consignment tents for local art and a student art show under the theme “Art in Motion.” Proceeds and support will benefit Roxborough organizations including North Light Community Center and Roxborough High School.
