TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department is implementing new efforts to bring non-compliant food service establishments into compliance.
TLCHD says as of April 28, over 100 food service establishments, which include restaurants, mobile food vendors, cafeterias and others, are operating without a valid food service license.
To address this, TLCHD will be posting visible placards at the entrances of unlicensed food service establishments. They will indicate what law is being violated and what steps need to be taken to achieve compliance.
The health department will also be updating a public list of unlicensed and non-compliant establishments. You can find that list by clicking here.
According to TLCHD, to avoid repercussions and further legal action, the non-compliant establishments must pay for their license in full by the end of the business day on May 2.
