
WASHINGTON, N.C. (WITN) – Log A Load For Kids is a nationwide giving campaign through which loggers and others contribute to local Children’s Miracle Network-affiliated hospitals to provide medical care to kids in need.
The Eastern North Carolina Log A Load for Kids Campaign hosts various events throughout the year to raise money for James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital at ECU Health Medical Center.
According to organizers, over the years, this event has enabled contributions to Children’s Miracle Network from $12,000 in 1996 to over $100,000 with over 600 participants in recent years. It has grown to be one of the largest organized shoots in the state and the country.
There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes as well as raffles for a gun safe and a 50 gun drawing. For more information, including where to donate and where to register, go to www.nclogaloadforkids.com.
