PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) – A judge found probable cause to charge a Paragould woman after police said she left her three children home alone while she went to the bar.
Just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, police responded to a call of three children, ages 11, 8, and 4, at home without supervision.
According to the affidavit, officers learned 32-year-old Irene Anderson “had left her children at home and went to LA Nights,” 318 S. 2nd St.
Officers went to the bar and found Anderson.
“The defendant admitted to officers that she left her children at home without supervision,” Detective Corporal Tron Beesley stated in the court documents. “Officers also discovered that the 4-year-old was disabled and suffers from seizures.”
After reviewing the case, Greene County District Court Judge Daniel Stidham found probable cause to charge Anderson with endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree, a Class D felony.
Stidham set Anderson’s bond at $10,000 cash only and ordered her to have no contact with the children.
