NILES, MI (WSBT) — A local church is getting creative to encourage attendees to continue coming back!
Relevant Church in Niles hosted “Food Truck Sunday,” a celebration to connect with the community.
There were food trucks, live music, A DJ, and face-painting.
Organizers say the event is designed to be an experience where everyone feels welcome.
They are hoping to encourage attendees to continue coming to church after the Easter season.
“I gotta go to church on Easter, but we just want to have an event just to bring them back. Like say hey, church is always a good option for you. It’s always a good time on Sunday mornings. Church should never be boring so we always want to make sure that we’re having some fun,” says Campus Growth Pastor of Relevant Church Lewis Boyden.
There were also normal church services and baptisms taking place inside the church.
