Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Sold One Million Copies In Three Days

When Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a turn-based JRPG with real-time mechanics, was released on April 24, Sandfall Interactive wasn’t expecting how wild the next 24 hours would be. That’s totally understandable, as it’s their first title since the studio was founded in 2020, and the development team consists of fewer than 50 developers, according to the studio’s LinkedIn page.

Players’ passion for this game has been overwhelming. When the game sold 500,000 copies in just its first day, a milestone they proudly shared on social media, they said it happened sooner than they had “ever imagined.”

The momentum didn’t go down, and two days later, another post spread even more happiness to the community: the game had reached the stunning milestone of one million copies sold in just three days.
