This Week in Purple: At least the kids are playing

The Colorado Rockies continue to be bad. After losing eight in a row against the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals, they finally broke through with a 3-1 victory during the second game of a doubleheader against the Nats on Sunday to avoid the sweep. Unfortunately, though, they were then swept by the Kansas City Royals (also including a doubleheader on Thursday).

They are showing a little more fight, though. They scored 32 runs this week, which is nearly as many as they scored in the first three weeks combined. They still have a long way to go, but it seems at least promising!
