Over 60 Nintendo Switch 2 games are on the way, but 13 are already available to preorder. Here’s where to buy them

The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally coming on June 5 with preorders starting on Thursday, April 24.

Several new Nintendo Switch 2 games are also on the way, many of which will release on the say day as the new console.

The games will range from $40 to $80, breaking into a new price point for video games.

They will be available to preorder at Walmart, Target, Best Buy and GameStop so you can have games ready to play once you receive your Nintendo Switch 2. We expect they will also be available to preorder at Amazon on Nintendo’s storefront.

As usual, they will be available as physical game cards and downloads, which are now called virtual game cards. Instead of the usual grey color, the game cards are red with faster data reading speeds.

Despite these changes, the fun, imaginative and captivating adventures Nintendo Switch is known for continue on the next-gen console. And, of course, you’ll see beloved Nintendo characters in new stories coming to the NS2.

The NS2 will be able to run new NS2 games, remastered NS1 games and already-purchased NS1 games with upgrade packs. The upgrade packs are sold separately and come with enhanced graphics, exclusive content and new gameplay.

However, with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, you can play several NS1 games with upgrade packs for no additional cost. The Individual Membership costs $50 while the Family Membership costs $80.

Also, Nintendo will add 10 classic Gamecube games to the Nintendo Classics library this year only available through this membership, including “The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker,” “SOULCALIBUR II“ and “F-ZERO GX” starting June 5.

These will certainly sell out fast, just like the Nintendo Switch 2 will — despite the increased price — so it’s best to preorder them in advance along with the new console.
