

SALINAS VALLEY — The College of Agriculture, Business and Industries (ABI) at Hartnell College will host its first annual Community Day Car Show on Sunday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hartnell College ABI Campus, 1752 E. Alisal St. in Salinas.
The free event is open to the public and welcomes all cars, trucks and motorcycles to participate. Attendees are invited to enjoy live entertainment, raffle prizes and a taco truck, as well as opportunities to tour the campus, meet instructors and learn more about student support services.
The first 200 attendees will receive a free lunch ticket, and all guests will have the chance to explore a variety of academic programs, including: Administration of Justice, Automotive and Diesel Technology, Agricultural Mechatronics, Agriculture, Business, Construction Management and Welding.
Vehicle registration for show participants is $20, with proceeds benefiting student scholarships.
“The Community Day Car Show is a celebration of our local automotive culture and a chance for our community to see firsthand the programs that are preparing students for careers in high-demand industries,” said Celia Anderson, event coordinator. “It’s a fun, family-friendly day with something for everyone.”
The event is presented in partnership with the Hartnell College Agricultural, Business and Technology Institute and the Alisal Union School District.
