Science Kids is a Sheridan based non-profit that is rooted in a belief; the best way to learn is by getting outside and engaging hands-on with nature.
Science Kids sees themselves as much more than an educational initiative—they are an adventure, empowering children to delve into nature firsthand, igniting a genuine passion for scientific inquiry.
Dr. Julie Rieder of Science Kids made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss the summer class offerings both in Sheridan and Buffalo.

Each summer season, Science Kids host classes that take children on those adventures into science and hands-on learning. These courses are divided into age groups, 6-8 years and 9-11 years old. The initiative is expanding this summer to include classes for kids in local junior high schools.
Science Kids is now offering classes for kids aged 12-14 years. Dr. Rieder said when children discover a path of learning that they enjoy and are passionate about, it’s life changing.

These classes are taught by industry professionals and dedicated life-long educators who typically teach at the collegiate level. Solar Science, Art and Birding, Environmental Chemistry and a day digging in a real dinosaur quarry are all classes being offered this summer for kids aged 12-14 years.
