BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Gilbert Juarez, affectionately known as “Mr. Dimples,” has captured national attention with his infectious positivity and uplifting social media presence. Juarez, a local food truck vendor, recently appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” after his TikTok video went viral, drawing viewers from across the globe.
Juarez’s journey to fame began with a simple live video on TikTok, which quickly amassed hundreds of thousands of likes. “I didn’t really understand what was going on,” Juarez said. “But when you see everyone coming in and comments coming up, it just kind of overwhelms you.”
His vibrant personality and dedication to spreading joy caught the eye of television host Jennifer Hudson, who invited him to share his message on her show. “I was like, wait, is this all happening?” Juarez said. “Being on her platform, dancing with her, and seeing how excited she was and tasting the food, she was like, if you want to taste this food, come to Bakersfield, go to Dimples, you have to try it.”
During his appearance, Hudson expressed her appreciation with a generous $1,000 tip, which Juarez plans to use to fix the transmission on his food truck. “Whatever happens, I just want to say look out because here comes ‘Dimples Foods, ‘” Juarez said.
