The 2025 NFL Draft is well underway. Miami quarterback Cam Ward was Tennessee’s pick at No. 1 overall, but the draft went off the rails shortly thereafter, as the Jaguars traded into the No. 2 overall selection for Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter. Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter went one pick later.
Despite a lack of blue-chip talent, there is no shortage of storylines to monitor — chiefly of which is how many quarterbacks are taken in the first round and Shedeur Sanders’ part in that conversation. In addition to Sanders, Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart, Louisville’s Tyler Shough and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe are among the top prospects at the position.
