EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) – Eau Claire foodies have a new space to check out to satisfy their cravings. It’s called ‘The Spot’ and it’s located on the north side.
Nestled off Hastings Way, near the Pinehurst Shopping Center, sits Eau Claire’s newest food truck venue.
Nestled off Hastings Way, near the Pinehurst Shopping Center, sits Eau Claire’s newest food truck venue. It opened in late last year, but this spring will be its first full season.
Every week the space will hold Eau Claire food trucks with different types of cuisines. Styles include American, Chinese, African and Caribbean. Vendors enjoy it because it helps them reach new people.
“Number one is the customers. Without customers, the spot wouldn’t be the spot,” said Akenya Aman, owner of Sankofa Food Truck.
Right now, The Spot can only hold a few food trucks but plans to expand if the project is a success. There’s more than just food at the spot. Vendors can have pop up shops that sell clothing, jewelry and other accessories.
The Spot is active on social media, that’s the best place to find out what days they’ll be open and what vendors will be serving. You can find a link to its page here.
