
Matthew Lewis, a finance and accounting expert, has been promoted to vice president of finance and accounting at Intelligent Waves.
The Reston, Virginia-based tech integrator said Wednesday Lewis will be responsible for the company’s financial operations, including maintaining fiscal accountability and ensuring adherence to regulations. The new VP is also tasked with ensuring the company’s financial strategies align with its long-term growth goals.
Who Is Matthew Lewis?
Lewis is a 25-year veteran of the government contracting and financial management industry, including working with startups and private and publicly traded companies. He has extensive experience steering through complex regulations to sustain fiscal responsibility and implementing strategies to maintain financial reporting accuracy. The executive is also knowledgeable in Federal Acquisition Regulation compliance and Defense Contract Audit Agency reporting.
Lewis has been with IW for over three years, initially working as an accounting controller before his recent promotion. Before that, he was a senior accountant and group lead at Fitzwater and Dean for nearly seven years. Lewis also served as a controller for both Raysat Antenna Systems and Nimaya. The IW executive held various accounting roles for RaySat, MCI and Management Concepts.
