Athlete of the week achievement: Yost threw an Altoona-girls-school-record distance of 147 feet, 2 inches in the javelin to win first place at the Shippensburg 98th Roddick HS Invitational. She broke her own school record, previously set last year of 131-4.

Season update: Yost leads the Altoona Mirror honor roll by 26 feet, 1 inch in the javelin.
