[VIDEO] Corvette Food Truck Shown at New York Auto Show 2025 – Corvette: Sales, News & Lifestyle

One of the things that I can really appreciate as a CorvetteBlogger is that when you wrote about some crazy build idea that someone had two years ago and then stumble upon the complete ride online or even better, in real life. Today that happened with us when I came across a view on YouTube showing off this crazy Corvette Food Truck being displayed at the New York International Auto Show.

It was back in the summer of 2023 that we saw the first photos of this Corvette food truck and it was in very rough condition. The build is a combination of a 2021 C8 Corvette that had all the body work cut off and then the body of a 1954 Metro Van was placed on the Corvette’s frame. The body from the Metro van was cleaned up where it was rusty, but it’s still presented in its beautifully-seasoned patina. The truck offers two serving stations, one for food on the passenger’s side and you can pick up a cold beer on the driver’s side.

LJ (@lucs) gives us the rundown of what he calls the first race car food truck ever built. He tells us that the Guinness Book of World Records has created a new category called Fastest Speed by a Food Truck, so the plan is to take this Corvette Food Truck to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway sometime around the Brickyard 400 race in July where they will attempt to set that record. FYI, they have to go greater than 130 mph to be awarded the world record, so we’ll be watching to see how they did.

The interior of the food truck still retains its interior, seats, and the great wall of buttons from its Corvette days. From the rear of the truck, you can even see the Corvette’s LT2 powerplant which they have highlighted with LEDs. We also note that the Food Truck has a quad center exhaust set up with chrome emblems, although your eyes will probably be drawn upward to the huge high wing that runs across the rear of the van.

The Vettro, which is a combination of (Vette + Metro) will also be making their first on-track debut at the Indianapolis 500. For more on the build as well as future appearances, follow them at @Lucs on Instagram.
