Are you ready for a night off from caregiving, but can’t find a babysitter? Kids’ Night Out events have you covered. The kids get to enjoy a night with peers in a safe and supervised space while you get a well-deserved break. Check out the May Kids’ Night Out events below.
Recurring Events
Fun Friday @ Stars and Stripes (Clarkston) – Fridays, September – May
- The Stars & Stripes facility is open for the evening providing kids ages 7 and above an opportunity to get moving, hang with friends and use our multiple athletic areas for activities including warrior obstacles, dodge-ball, 1/2 court basketball, open play and more! The evening will include pizza and beverages for all Fun Friday participants. Pre registration is required as space is limited.

- $25 per child (drop-in); Drop-in bundle: 3 for $59; $59 per child/monthly
Kids’ Night Out @ Troy Gym (Troy) – Saturdays in March
- Participants need to bring a water, snack or single dollar bills/quarters for vending/ice cream; we will have a designated snack time
- Ages: 5 – 12
- Cost: $20 per child (*$10 ZRC add-on for height appropriate participants; closed toe shoes required)
- Time: 6:30pm – 9:30pm
Friday, May 2nd
Kids Night Out! @ Mad Science Lab (Novi)
- Kids can spend a few hours at the Mad Science Lab. Kids will also get to explore Art & Science experiences and we’ll always have a movie available so kids can also sit back, relax, and catch a G-Rated flick!
- Ages: PreK (with an older sibling) – 5th Grade
- Cost: $19 per child
- Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Pets and Pajamas @ Humane Society of Huron Valley (Ann Arbor)
- Event includes adoptable animal interaction, a cheese pizza dinner, and an animal-themed movie with popcorn!
- Ages: 6 – 11
- Cost: $35 per child
- Time: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Parents’ Night Out @ Great Lakes Athletic Club (Orion Twp)
- What’s better than a babysitter on a Friday night? An awesome night out for your kids too! Your kids will have a blast participating in their favorite gym activities along with pizza! We’ve also partnered with our favorite Baldwin corridor restaurants so you can enjoy a special night out in close proximity
- Ages: 5 – 12
- Cost: $25 – $35 per child
- Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Parents’ Night Out @ Radcliff Center (Garden City)
- Go out for date night, run some errands, or simply have a fun night at home while the kids are safe watching movies, making crafts, playing games, and eating pizza!
- Ages: 5 – 12
- Cost: $20 ($10 sibling discount)
- Time: 5:30pm – 9:00pm

Kids’ Night Out @ Michigan Academy of Gymnastics (Ann Arbor)
- Your children will have a blast with a variety of activities. Plus, we’ll take care of dinner with everyone’s favorite: pizza! We offer more than just babysitting at a better price. Your kids will stay active and social while you relax and enjoy your evening
- Ages: 4 – 14
- Cost: $25 per child
- Time: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Kids’ Night Out @ Franklin Athletic Club (Southfield)
- This drop off event includes a Pizza Party, Swimming, Games, Crafts and More!
- Ages: 3 – 12
- Cost: $50 per child, $30 for siblings (discounts for members)

- Whether your kids are looking for new fun and adventures at the Y, or you crave a kids-free night out, the Y’s Parents’ Day or Night Out programs are the perfect way to give yourself some time away while your kids play and learn alongside their peers under the supervision of our caring and trained staff

- Spring is in the air, and it’s time for a night of fun, creativity, and adventure at our Spring Fling Party! While parents enjoy a well-deserved evening out, kids (ages 5-12) will celebrate the season with exciting games, crafts, pizza and sweet treats (peanut free) in a safe and festive environment.

Saturday, May 24th
Kids Night Out @ Bennett Rec Center (Howell)
- Looking for a fun night out but not sure what to do with the kids? Sign up for a kids night out and drop the kids off at the Hive Youth & Teen Center for a night of pizza, movies, games, and more!
- Grades: K – 5th
- Cost: $60 ($40 for residents) per child
- Time: 5:30pm – 10pm

A Dinner Date with Childcare?
While it might sound “too good to be true,” the owners of Host Utica, Michael and Andrea, have done just that. As parents of 2 young boys they know just how important it is to have uninterrupted meal time to reconnect with your partner. Which is why they offer a Parent’s Night Out every Tuesday – Thursday from 5pm – 10pm. So how does this work:
- Reservations required 1 day before you plan to dine to ensure adequate staffing
- Cost: $8 for 1.5 hours per child. An additional $3 per child for every 30 minutes after the initial 1.5 hours
- Parents MUST remain on site and will be notified to change children who are not potty trained
- Activities provided
- Limited kids menu available to send food up to children
