Diablo is getting a surprising manga crossover next month

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

The Diablo series is one of the most prolific and influential video games series in history, with the first game in the series having almost single handedly pioneered the modern dungeon crawler RPG genre. Now, both Diablo 4 and its mobile counterpart Diablo Immortal are getting a surprising crossover with one of the most influential manga of all time.

Blizzard has announced that Diablo 4 and Diablo Immortal are both getting crossover content with Berserk, the 1989 manga from Kentaro Miura. Both games will be getting limited-time cosmetic content inspired by the manga, with Berserk-themed events available in-game across the event period.

Diablo 4’s Berserk event kicks off on May 6, 2025, and runs until the end of the game’s eighth season, and will have players slaying powerful demons to earn Behelits. These Behelits can be collected from elite-level enemies, and then traded at the Berserk Reliquary to claim a Hawks Destiny back trophy, Skulls Knight Heraldry mount armor, and the Brand of Sacrifice marking. There’s also a Foretold Eclipse headstone, and once you’ve claimed all the items in the Reliquary, you’ll earn an Od of the Berserker emblem.

There’s also a host of paid cosmetic armor that will be available in the in-game shop, including the Berserker Armor for the Barbarian, the Hawk of Light and The Struggler armor for the Rogue, and the Skull Knight armor for the Necromancer. That’s in addition to a Schnoz pet bundle that includes the pet, the Mask Rakshas mount trophy, and the Chimimoryo’s Resemblance, and the Warhorse of the Hawk bundle for your mount that includes the Fantasia Mount, Fantasia’s Bridle, Reborn Band of the Hawk mount trophy, and the God Hand’s Gift mount trophy.

Diablo Immortal’s Berserk event – which runs from May 1 to May 30, 2025 – goes even further, with a boss fight against Nosferatu Zodd, in-game events that evoke the Eclipse, and much more, which you can read about on the Blizzard blog. Paid cosmetics will also be available in Diablo Immortal, and there’s a bunch of weapon cosmetics to earn in-game, and login rewards across the event.
