On Saturday, April 26, United Federal Credit Union will host a Community Shred Event in Carson City.
The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at their Carson City North Branch located at 1350 E. William Street.
This free event invites residents to safely dispose of personal documents on-site, helping to prevent identity theft through secure shredding by a licensed company.
The event also supports Austin’s House, a local nonprofit that provides emergency shelter and care for children in Northern Nevada who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.
Serving boys and girls from birth to age 18, Austin’s House offers compassionate support until children can be safely reunited with family or placed in long-term care.
United Federal Credit Union’s initiative combines financial wellness with community outreach, showing their dedication to keeping neighborhoods safe while helping vulnerable children in crisis.
