Adults & kids alike take part in Iowa City Easter egg hunt

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) -Despite the wet weather across much of eastern Iowa that didn’t stop some people from celebrating the holiday with an egg hunt.

There were hunts for specific age groups, from toddlers to those 21 and older.

The event featured a total of around 800 eggs for people with 200 eggs for each age group.

10-year-old Olivia said her favorite part of the hunt was “probably seeing what’s inside of the eggs you got… I got like a lot of temporary tattoos and dinosaurs.”

While adults who took part said they had fun doing it with friends.

Faith Hendricks whose three-year-old also took part in a hunt said “We played sports together so we kind of made it a little competition between my friend and I and we’re like lets work out these old track skills and put them to use.”

The event was at the Big Grove Brewery & Taproom in Iowa City.
