Whole Foods on Fruitville Pike evacuated for police investigation Saturday

Manheim Township police and emergency services conducted an investigation Saturday inside the Whole Foods in the Shoppes at Belmont on Fruitville Pike. 

Lancaster County-Wide Communications dispatchers confirmed that police were sent to Whole Foods shortly after 2 p.m. and the store was evacuated during that time. 

During the incident, Manheim Township police released a warning advising residents to avoid the area while police conducted their investigation. Shortly after 3 p.m. police released an update that the investigation was complete and emergency services had cleared the scene. 

Managers of the Whole Foods store declined to comment on the incident. Police did not immediately respond to a request for additional information.
