STEVENS POINT — The Stevens Point Area YMCA will host its annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to noon, offering a free morning of fun and fitness designed to get families moving and ready for summer.
Sponsored nationally by Peanuts — yes, Charlie Brown and the gang — the event includes open swim in the Adventure Pool, large inflatable games, family bingo with prizes, and other family-friendly activities promoting healthy lifestyles.
“It is so important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said Amy Fox, the Y’s health and wellness director. “At the Y, we believe in providing resources for families to create healthy habits, no matter the time of year. Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free community-wide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great summer activities the Y has to offer.”
Local sponsors include Skyward, CoVantage Credit Union, PSOL, Aspirus, AIG, Ascendance Truck Center, Auto Select of Stevens Point, Kahler Slater, Miron Construction, Spectrum Insurance, and Dahl Automotive.
The event will be held at the Stevens Point Area YMCA, 1000 Division St.
