NEWPORT, Ark. (KAIT) – It’s Food Truck Friday! Today, we’re highlighting Fancy Pants Eggrolls LLC & Kitchen.
The food truck is run by Jason and Tracy Hosier. It’s a family business— their daughter helping out as well.
Eggrolls are very unique items to develop a menu around. Jason came up with the idea when he went on vacation and had something similar. After that, he said that he felt like it was a calling from God to start up a food truck. His wife encouraged and helped him along the way.
“The Fancy” eggroll was the first item on the menu. It’s basically a cheeseburger in eggroll form. While they’re known for their eggrolls, Fancy Pants Eggrolls also serves up “Eggnolis”, which are dessert eggrolls that are similar to a cannoli.
Jason said they’re also a favorite for many people because of their fish sandwiches. They fry up some fish and put it in a sandwich with a remoulade sauce, tomatoes and lettuce.
