Lions Club of Illinois to host food distribution event after receiving $15K for disaster relief

PERRY COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) – There is a disaster relief opportunity this Friday for those impacted by the March tornado in Perry County, Illinois.

On April 18, Lions Club members throughout the state will be distributing 400 boxes of food from Cusumano & Sons from 10 a.m. to noon at the St. Johns Village Hall in Du Quoin.

This is for Perry County residents only.

According to a release, the District 1-CS Lions of Illinois was recently approved for a $15,000 grant through the Lions Clubs International Foundation’s Disaster Relief Initiative. The grant will be used to help tornado victims within the county.
