Popular Food Truck Seemingly Vanished from Portland, Maine, Without Warning

Are you ever just walking, minding your own business until you have an intrusive thought out of the blue that makes you spark a realization? That’s how suddenly realized that I haven’t seen Halstead’s Chicago Style Eats truck drivin’ around in quite some time.

The mixed bag of culture in Portland has always been one of my favorite things to see. In turn, I’d love seeing Halstead’s Chicago Style food truck romping around the city or Biddeford.

It brought us an idea as to how The Windy City does culinary. It was fun to catch their truck in Biddeford if you happened to be romping around there at the same time.

I remember that I never really went out of my way to find it, but I absolutely picked up on their absence in 2022 when they decided to sell. Austin St. Brewery was always the best on Friday afternoon’s with them. RIP.

Food Trucks No Longer in Business

“Bringing a little bit of The Windy City to Portland, Halstead’s Chicago Style Eats quietly closed up shop and sold their food truck to Tomaso’s Canteen in early 2022” – Portland Old Port

Most trucks will park towards the bottom parking lot in the East End while others will line the top of the hill at random.

Truthfully it’s impossible to keep track of their locations on a regular basis since they obviously cater to many locations frequently BUT I just found a secret hack. Check this out.
