Myrtle Beach festival draws 30,000 with food trucks and live music

The Myrtle Beach Food Truck & Music Festival attracted around 30,000 attendees this year, which marked a successful debut under its new name.

Formerly known as the Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival, the event expanded to include live music performances alongside its diverse culinary offerings.

Philip Van der Vossen, Marketing and Communications Director for NS Promotions, highlighted the number of things available at this festival.

“You’ve got all the variety of a food truck festival,” he said. “You can go around, especially if you bring a crew of people, you get like four or five people and you go buy one plate and you split that and everyone try it and then you go to another food truck and try something else out,” said Van der Vossen.

The festival featured over 70 vendors, with 55 food trucks offering a range of cuisines, including Caribbean, soul food, and seafood. The addition of a main stage with various live music performers added to the festival’s appeal.
