LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — As part of their 50th anniversary celebration, the Seattle Seahawks stopped in Liberty Lake on Saturday to host a Community Day event at the HUB Sports Center.
The visit included a youth football and cheer clinic in partnership with Spokane Valley Youth Football and Cheer (SVYFC), followed by a Community Day event open to the public from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants had the opportunity to meet Seahawks safety Jerrick Reed II, team dancer Geena and the team’s mascot, Blitz.
In support of local youth athletics, the Seahawks and USA Football presented a $5,000 grant to SVYFC to help upgrade their football equipment. The donation is part of ongoing efforts by the team to support youth sports and safety initiatives across the region.

Additionally, the Seahawks, in partnership with the NFL Foundation’s Grassroots Program and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), presented a $250,000 check to the HUB Sports Center. The funds will support the center’s “Fields for Our Future” capital campaign, which aims to develop two new multiuse sports fields to serve the Spokane Valley community.
The stop in Spokane Valley is one of several planned across the state as part of the Seahawks’ “50 Seasons” campaign, celebrating the team’s legacy and engagement with fans throughout the Pacific Northwest.
