SCHERTZ, Texas – A group of local kids and their families went out for a unique and fun community day!
From 2 p.m.. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, families from across the San Antonio area gathered near the Schertz Skate Park on a section of Community Circle Drive.
Kids between the ages of 2 to 7-years-old were given the rate opportunity to line-up on the starting line against other kids, and given the chance to go head-to-head in their very own Power Wheels Derby.
The racers were required to wear their helmets for safety, and were not allowed to use modified vehicles or special batteries for the race, with parents cheering their kids on from the sidelines!
