Food banks seeking more state money to make up for fed budget cuts

Food banks and pantries in Massachusetts have asked the state to help them make up for federal budget cuts.

Cuts to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and its TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) are reducing Massachusetts emergency food allocations by $3.3 million in the wake of Department of Government Efficiency budget cuts.
