Match facts

Head-to-head

  • West Ham won 3-0 at Anfield in August 2015 but that is their only victory in their last 57 games away to Liverpool in all competitions (D14, L42), losing each of the past nine.

  • The Reds won December’s reverse fixture 5-0 and also beat the Hammers 5-1 in the EFL Cup in September. No English top-flight team has ever scored five goals or more three times against a specific team in a single season.

Liverpool

  • Defeat at Fulham ended Liverpool’s unbeaten run of 26 Premier League matches.

  • The Reds have lost three of their past four games in all competitions – as many defeats as in their previous 41 fixtures.

  • The Merseysiders are vying for a sixth consecutive home league win. They are unbeaten in 13 top-flight matches at Anfield, winning 11 of those, since losing to Nottingham Forest in September.

  • This will be Arne Slot’s 50th game in all competitions as Liverpool head coach (W35, D7, L7).

  • Mohamed Salah has failed to score or assist in each of his last four Liverpool appearances, his longest such run since a four-game sequence in March 2021.

West Ham United

  • The Hammers have failed to win their last four league games (D2, L2) – they have not gone five without a victory since a six-match streak between January and February 2024.

  • West Ham have yet to come from behind to win a Premier League fixture this season (D5, L14). Southampton and Ipswich are the only other sides without a comeback victory.

  • They have taken 12 points from 11 games under Graham Potter.

  • Potter is unbeaten in his past three Premier League matches at Anfield (W1, D2). The last manager to avoid defeat in four successive away games at Liverpool in the competition was Sam Allardyce from 2016 to 2020.

  • Excluding own goals, Jarrod Bowen has been directly involved in six of West Ham’s last seven goals against Liverpool in all competitions, scoring three and assisting three.
