The class is designed for parents and caregivers of children ages nine to fourteen. Pre-registration is required prior to the event.
“Parenting is one of the hardest jobs we have, requiring self-awareness and an understanding of our children. It can be hard to know ‘if you’re doing it right’ or if others are experiencing the same things as you. Just know, you are not alone!
The Chaffee County Family Education Team can help you – we offer evidence-based parenting classes, as well as one-on-one coaching sessions, to teach you the skills and strategies you need to parent your child. Our classes offer a fun and interactive environment where you can learn and network with other parents,” states the registration page.
Parents will cover topics including:
- Promoting health and wellbeing during teen years
- Developing healthy beliefs and clear standards
- Positively dealing with anger
- How to say “no” while maintaining friendships and fun
- How to strengthen family bonds
Interested participants can reach out to Savanna Moorefield for more information at [email protected] or 710-530-2579.
