PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) – Farm Share, Florida’s largest food bank and nonprofit, will be giving out food at two Pensacola-area locations Saturday, April 12, for people who need it.
The distributions are drive-thru only. Attendees must arrive in a vehicle with a trunk or cargo bed.
Recipients will get fresh produce and non-perishable canned goods while supplies last.
The NWFCO Free Food Distribution session starts at 8 a.m. at 691 Broad St.
The Brownsville Free Food Distribution event starts at 9 a.m. at 3100 W. De Soto St.
Farm Share helps to meet the everyday hunger needs of Floridians by working with local farmers to recover and redistribute produce that would otherwise be thrown away due to aesthetic imperfections.
Farm Share also distributes food to the community through its network of soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters, churches, and senior centers across Florida free of charge. Click here for more information.
