Disney California Adventure’s “Festival of Holidays” runs until Jan. 6
The entire Southern California resort gets into the spirit with cheerful decorations, seasonal foods, and special experiences.
This spring, Boston will host one of the biggest outdoor Asian food festivals in the country.
Started in 2024 in New York City, Panda Fest is now bringing its immersive festival with tastings, vendors, activities and live performances to Boston.
“There is a surge in the interest and love for Asian food and culture, and we noticed that it’s hard to find a dedicated platform in Boston to celebrate this. That’s why Panda Fest was created,” said Panda Fest founder Biubiu Xu in a press release. “I am thrilled to invite everyone to what will be one of the largest celebrations of Asian food and culture in Boston.”
Here’s what to know before attending the Asian food festival in the city.
When is Panda Fest in Boston?
This year, Panda Fest will make its Boston debut from Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4.
Hours for the festival are 4-10 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday.
Panda Fest attractions
With over 60 Asian food vendors and over 200 Asian street food varieties, Panda Fest is the perfect attraction for foodies. Food will represent countries including China, Japan, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, with options ranging in everything from dumplings and sushi rolls to spicy street food and decadent desserts.
However, the festival will not only celebrate Asian food, but also Asian culture, with a vendors market full of homemade goods, an exciting lineup of live performances and demonstrations of traditional crafts, such as sugar painting and paper cutting.
Guests can celebrate Panda Fest by taking a picture with a giant inflatable panda, and in true Boston fashion, all visitors with general admission tickets will receive a pin of a panda cuddling a lobster.
