IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) – Dickinson County high school students learned about their financial future Tuesday.
Iron Mountain High School Seniors went to the school’s first Reality Fair.
Students chose a career, and then budgeted their life based on the career’s annual income. They learned about the difference between credit and debit, as well as retirement investing.
Iron Mountain High School Senior Abby Ward says she feels more prepared for her future.
“I feel that this is something they should keep doing because I think a lot of people could say the same thing as me,” Ward said. “It is definitely a glimpse into adult life.”
The event was organized by the Michigan Credit Union League.
