New York Yankees vs Detroit Tigers cold weather forecast at Comerica Park
Yankees writer Pete Caldera describes how cold it is in Detroit as the Yankees and Tigers play a three-game series at Comerica Park.
DETROIT – Yankees’ lefty slugger Cody Bellinger is not in Tuesday afternoon’s lineup due to a severe upset stomach.
“Food poisoning, we think,’’ said manager Aaron Boone, prior to the 1:10 p.m. game against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park, where temperatures hovered around 30 degrees.
According to Boone, the outfielder/first baseman was dealing with an upset stomach all Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
“We’ll see if we can get him going, make him somewhat available,’’ Boone said of Bellinger, who was in the ballpark Tuesday morning. “I got a smile out of him… we’ll see how the game goes.’’
Last weekend at Pittsburgh, Bellinger did not start the first two games against the Pirates due to a mild back issue.
