Tarek El Moussa Addresses His Wife’s Comments About Whether They’ll Have More Kids

HGTV star Tarek El Moussa is addressing his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa‘s comments about whether they will have more children.

During an April 2025 interview with Page Six, Tarek El Moussa referenced that his wife shared they disagree about expanding their family on a March 2025 episode of the “Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad” podcast. The couple share a 2-year-old son named Tristan. Tarek El Moussa also has two children, Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, with his ex-wife Christina Haack.

Tarek El Moussa explained he would prefer to not have any more children because he has “been a dad a very long time.”

“I’m turning 44 this year. I’m starting to get older. And I’m very busy with work,” said the “Flip Off” star to Page Six.

He also said that he adores his children and does not want to decrease the amount of attention he can give them.

“I love my kids so much. It’s literally my favorite thing about life. But it takes a lot of time, effort, energy. And what’s important to me is making sure that not only can I be an entrepreneur, a TV personality, but even more important, I want to be a good dad. And I sometimes worry if I spread myself even more thin, it’s going to take away from me being the best dad I can be,” said Tarek El Moussa during the interview.

He then said that there is about a one percent chance that he has another child.

Heather Rae El Moussa Would Like Another Child

While recording the “Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad” podcast episode, Heather Rae El Moussa said she would like to give her son another sibling. She said, however, that her husband does not want more children.

“[Tristan] is the light of my life. It makes me so happy. I’m like, ‘How could I not want more?’ But my husband is very much done. So we’re very different in what we want in our future. So that’s hard,” said Heather Rae El Moussa.

She then shared that they have spoken about their differing opinions about expanding their family at couple’s therapy.

Heather Rae El Moussa commented on whether she and her husband would have more children in a January 2025 interview with Us Weekly, alongside Tarek El Moussa.

“We’ll see. We have three kids and two shows, so we’re very busy,” said Heather Rae El Moussa to the publication.

During the interview, the couple, who wed in 2021, shared why their relationship has been successful.

“My goal is always to make sure that my wife’s happy and that I’m doing things that please her,” said Tarek El Moussa.

Heather Rae El Moussa also said her husband “knows when to say sorry.”

“We’re really good at apologizing and not letting things linger,” continued Heather Rae El Moussa.
