MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – A Marquette church is giving parents a few hours to themselves this weekend.
Calvary Lutheran Church is hosting Easter for Kids on Saturday. Kids from three to eleven years old can expect to enjoy an afternoon of crafts, games, and songs. The church says it’ll also be a great opportunity for parents to get Easter baskets, catch up on chores, or just take some time to relax.
Easter for Kids Organizer Courtney Agenten says besides having a fun time, kids will also learn why Christians celebrate Easter.
“I think it’s good for kids to come celebrate Easter and learn the story because then they really take to heart that Jesus came and died for their sins so they can live with Him forever in Heaven,” said Agenten.
Easter for Kids will be this Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. You can sign your child up for free here.
